Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine Sullivan is a native of and raised within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam the mother of Jazmine has been a back-up singer with Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, old, her father landed an appointment as the curator of Philadelphia's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the landmark historical building. In 2005, a Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduated She is an instructor in the area of vocal. Sullivan performed as the contralto member of the youth choir, and, a few more years later, she was a singer as an adult in the choir. Sullivan had limited exposure to secular music. She recounts how she was eleven when someone requested her to sing in a solo at the church. The singer wasn't quite ready to go. Then, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I was allowed to perform "Accept what God allows" during It's Showtime At the Apollo. And the people were very enthusiastic. Stevie Wonder sang her part when he turned 13. Sullivan aged 15 began her career with Jive Records. At the age of 15 the label signed her to Jive Records. They recorded an entire album there, but it was not released. Sullivan was later dropped on the labels. They had a strong working connection and Missy Elliott. Elliott produced numerous tracks for her such as "Backstabbers" that was written by Timbaland.
